SPOT Stick Puppets

We had so much fun making these Emotion SPOT Puppets.

They are one of the best ways to teach EMPATHY.

After my kids made the puppets I would give them several scenarios and they would hold up the emotion that they thought I was feeling.

Then I explained how EMPATHY is imagining how someone else feels and then listening and helping them.

Examples were:

I just broke my favorite vase, how do you think I'm feeling? How would you help?

I just got the most beautiful artwork from my daughter... 

We forgot to do a homework assignment...
